Aha

The :type is the approved Actionscript 2.0 way of strongly typing variables, functions etc.

I get what you are talking about now with the xml:article article. This is the one that has to be admin, huh?

I don't know what you're talking about "admin" nothing needs to be admin...? the mistake you made with the xml was that you did not remove the unused elements thus forcing the language to nothing so it didn't render as actionscript. --Nad 10:32, 4 Dec 2006 (NZDT)
Yep got it, so the xml properties page (as opposed to the *.xml page) should only have read and write props - Jack 11:07, 4 Dec 2006 (NZDT)
I still don't know why permissions is coming in to this??? There is nothing to do with permission within the context of actionscript compiling --Nad 11:33, 4 Dec 2006 (NZDT)
The thing I'm going on about is that you should never leave empty elements in any xml article, only include the elements you're actually using for something and delete all the others. --Nad 11:36, 4 Dec 2006 (NZDT)
Doh OK Jack 11:42, 4 Dec 2006 (NZDT)
