Quote.pngOur vision is to see all of our world's inhabitants governing ourselves with an open, accessible and understandable global system which has as its bottom line the common good, and which we define and operate ourselves by effectively utilising and allocating our common expertise and resource.

Moving onto the land

Petrycoski land cover image.jpg
At the end of 2011 on the 11th of November we moved to Brazil and bought some land to set up a more independent and meditative lifestyle. We started in a flat in Curitiba, then about a year later moved to Canela which is the closest town to the land.
1. Moving from Curitiba to Canela          Our power project
2. Moving on to our land          Our rural net connection

The Zeitgeist Movement

ZeitgeistLogo.jpg

Founded in 2008, The Zeitgeist Movement (TZM) is a sustainability advocacy organization, which conducts community based activism and awareness actions through a network of global/regional chapters, project teams, annual events, media and charity work.

The movement's principle focus includes the recognition that the majority of the social problems that plague the human species at this time are not the sole result of some institutional corruption, absolute scarcity, a political policy, a flaw of "human nature" or other commonly held assumptions of causality. Rather, the movement recognizes that issues such as poverty, corruption, pollution, homelessness, war, starvation and the like appear to be "symptoms" born out of an outdated social structure.

The defining goal is the installation of a new socio-economic model based upon technically responsible resource management, allocation and design through what would be considered the scientific method of reasoning problems and finding optimised solutions.

This “Natural Law/Resource-Based Economy" (NLRBE) is about taking a direct technical approach to social management as opposed to a monetary or even political one. It is about updating the workings of society to the most advanced and proven methods known, leaving behind the damaging consequences and limiting inhibitions. which are generated by our current system of monetary exchange, profit, business and other structural and motivational issues.

The movement is loyal to a train of thought, not figures or institutions. The view held is that through the use of socially targeted research and tested understandings in science and technology, we are now able to logically arrive at societal applications that could be profoundly more effective in meeting the needs of the human population, increasing public health. There is little reason to assume war, poverty, most crime and many other monetarily-based scarcity effects common in our current model cannot be resolved over time. The range of the movement's activism and awareness campaigns extend from short to long term, with methods based explicitly on non-violent methods of communication.

The Zeitgeist Movement has no allegiance to country or traditional political platforms. It views the world as a single system and the human species as a single family and recognizes that all countries must disarm and learn to share resources and ideas if we expect to survive in the long run. Hence, the solutions arrived at and promoted are in the interest to help everyone on Earth, not a select group

Cypherpunkd Agorism

CypherpunkdLogo.jpg

Cypherpunkd is an Internet radio series on AgoristRadio.com consisting of 46 interviews hosted by Hiro White between April 4th and June 17th 2011 with an additional episode a few months later on September 22nd. The interviews cover a wide range of Agorism oriented topics including liberty, freedom, law, Bitcoin, privacy and much more.

At Organic Design, we consider this series to be an absolute prerequisite for understanding what's involved in forming a new liberty-oriented society free from state oppression. Most of the interviews are completely riveting stuff, but some of them may be too technical for some listeners, and others may be covering topics that are not quite your area of interest, but we strongly suggest persevering through all of them regardless, because they all contain important gems of knowledge.

After listening to them you'll have gained important shared context with other members of the new society, The Second Realm, and will be aware of the many other projects working towards this and the passion, and intensity they all have for bringing this about. [more...]

Sons of Liberty Academy

SonsOfLiberty.jpg

The Sons of Liberty Academy is a really complete and well presented research project by truth-seeker Chris Duane. He's put together an extremely comprehensive and well organised package of material which is in the form of ten video modules, each with an associated optional set of supplementary material for deeper research into the topics covered.

The Sons of Liberty Academy is invaluable material for anyone interested in getting a deep and clear knowledge of what's really behind all this war, poverty and financial meltdown, and what the real solutions are. It's invaluable not only for newcomers to these concepts so they can avoid thousands of frustrating hours wading through confusion and disinformation, but also a great reference and referral resource to have at hand for those of us who have been studying these concepts for many years.

Membership to access the material has recently been made free of charge since it's such important knowledge. However, for those who do have some funds available to support a good cause, I think Sons of Liberty Academy is one of the best causes out there in the current times.

About Organic Design

One way of deriving a group is from how people answer a specific set of questions. Even if the "members" of such a group don't appear on any list, are not stored anywhere or never communicated their answers to anyone, the group still exists in a certain sense if it exhibits the potential for action. Here at Organic Design we call this kind of "non-explicit" group an organic group, as distinct from a trust group which is one whose members are known to one another.

One such question is, if you were performing a particular task, would you like to know if anyone anywhere else performing the same task had a better way of doing it? Another related question is, would you like to live in a world where all such "best ways" were made openly accessible to and easily understandable by everyone? An overwhelming majority would answer "yes" to the first question. The second though is one that many people would think about more deeply before answering and may answer "no".

The people who share the common vision we talk about here at Organic Design are those that answer "yes" to both of the previous questions. We don't know how many people that is, but judging from the popularity of the free software movement and other similar projects, we can be very sure that even if it's not a global majority it's certainly hundreds of millions of people world-wide!

That's an enormous potential for action, but how does an organic group like this begin to achieve anything together? We believe the answer lies in alignment...
