From February 23 this has been my new home, under pine trees, only a short sprint away from a breathtaking beach. You have seen the photos, right?

;Summary
I started a new life at Prana, then moved up to Whitianga to persue a business alliance with a company called Meridian Alliance.

Right now I am living in Whitianga, just staying at friend's at the moment. I moved here last week to pursue a job opportunity and at the same time use a very productive office environment which has been offered to me. I will be sharing the office with the kind folk from the Meridian Alliance and during the month of April we will work together for a trial period during which we will find out to what extent we can collaborate.

The people here are treating me kindly and we are developing social and work relationships now. I have come onto this land within the general framework of what is known as WWOOFing - and yes, that name really has to go! You work for 20 hours a week in exchange for a roof over your head and food. Sure, great pay it isn't - it's more of a lifestyle choice for me. I live at a great place and can work very flexibly. Plus, I can be connected to the world via broadband Internet.

In travelling up and down this beautiful coast, and discovering the towns of Whangamata, Pauanui, Tairua and Whitianga, I have found people to be quite open and welcoming. In this general climate of supportiveness, an acquaintance from a christmas party last year got in touch with me and we have since discovered that there would be a lot of synergy potential if we developed a business partnership. Dana has generously offered me access to his office in Whitianga and it has proven a productive work environment already. I don't really want to say more until it's all "official" but it certainly is good to be working with people who are as passionate about contributing to a better world as I am.

Summary

Right now I am living in Whitianga, just staying at friend's at the moment. I moved here last week to pursue a job opportunity and at the same time use a very productive office environment which has been offered to me. I will be sharing the office with the kind folk from the Meridian Alliance and during the month of April we will work together for a trial period during which we will find out to what extent we can collaborate.

Dana and Dan, the guys behind the Meridian Alliance, want to transform the alternative energy and sustainable estate development sectors here in NZ and need some decent organisational software for it, so Aran and I will be taking care of that aspect for them. There is a lot of work here, and a lot of opportunity. What I like about working here is that these guys are as passionate about making a positive difference in the world as I am, and they have supported me in getting a productive work environment set up.

After April I can post links to the Meridian Alliance, the content is still very much under development.

Still I'm single, moving too fast for the girls to notice me :-) And too busy. I am just happy by myself and sorting out my life, my finances, etc. Not really looking for anyone.

From February 23 this has been my new home, under pine trees, only a short sprint away from a breathtaking beach. You have seen the photos, right?

In travelling up and down this beautiful coast, and discovering the towns of Whangamata, Pauanui, Tairua and Whitianga, I have found people to be quite open and welcoming. In this general climate of supportiveness, an acquaintance from a christmas party last year got in touch with me and we have since discovered that there would be a lot of synergy potential if we developed a business partnership.

Whitianga 28 Mar - Present

It is great here and I have made my life so flexible that I can now pursue opportunities all over New Zealand. I do like the East coast of the Coromandel tho. It has a strong, clear energy.

Looking ahead
  • Work trial
  • Nomad Stylez and Org
    • I am able to fit all my possesions in my car, which makes me very flexible. Generally I'm working a lot, just spending a lot of time polishing my organisational system, which is taking form on the server of Organic Design
