Power outage in Auckland today at 8:30am. All of the CBD, eastern and western auckland to new Lynn out of power. Bad weather caused a short circuit to a 110KW cable in a substation in Otahuhu. Power was restored at about 2:30pm in Remuera, the outage is still in effect until 7:30pm in neighbouring ellerslie through to panmure and Onehunga. --Sven
