So the 73 deleted edits contain a number of different things, so maybe we want a What is it? Why would be want that? How do we do it? What can I the reader do? format. Expand on this? Jack 03:24, 12 Oct 2006 (NZST)
- I've added a bullet point. The general work needing being done is to convert bullet points into proper sentences and fix up current sentences etc - generally unstubifying. --Nad 03:50, 12 Oct 2006 (NZST)
Is there a way to set the default state for individual panels in .expandable-heading? --Rob 23:26, 10 Oct 2006 (NZST)
How about we sort out these buttons accross the top. I've tried but gave up. Use these Colours:093655 3D5270 6F85A2 B3C8D6 CFD9F4. Should be high contrast only when :hover'd, all other times should be subtle. Maybe use a 1px #B3C8D6 solid border insted of a solid background color. In any case squash the yellow - it's a disease. I'm removing it from the palette. --Rob 01:17, 4 Oct 2006 (NZST)

http://www.wikiexpert.com/New_Home&printable=1 printable isn't---scrolls of right side.
- Yeah that looks real similar to the IE rendering problem... hows ya CSS skillz?
- not that great. --Phalseid 14:52, 3 Oct 2006 (NZST)
- I think this is more a generic problem. I have a feeling there is some obscured object forcing the width to be bigger than the screen. I have seen in some articles where the title is very long, it bumbs into "Organic Design" and forces the page to grow horizontaly - resulting in the dreaded horizontal scroll bar. Will look into the css if I get the time. --Rob 01:09, 4 Oct 2006 (NZST)
- On IE and the one Peder's talking about its chopping the right side of tables without a hscroll appearing and without anything long being on the page --Nad 03:13, 4 Oct 2006 (NZST)
- This is a percentage thing. Something is making the page >100% wide. Will go through widths. Any hard coded widths left? --Rob 05:28, 4 Oct 2006 (NZST)

Collaborate on the new home page here...
- Yessir! I have been travelling but glimpsed the new developments and will be keen to turn bullets into paragraphs next week.
Must be much shorter: Our existing page suffers from over-complexity. It seems the new design is implementing the same level of complexity, but with a different layout. Visual imagery could help overcome this problem.
- I don't want to sacrifice information for design. One of the biggest problems we've had all these years is not having an entry point which covers the various aspects of what's going on. Maybe we could add "read-more"'s or maybe have expandable headings like on wikinews main page... --Nad 19:41, 1 Oct 2006 (NZST)
- It seems to me we are already sacrificing information for design in the sense that most people will not bother to read all the details. I realy like the way the current home intro paragraphs sound. I don't suggest we should throw away good information. May be expandadble headings could help. --Rob 20:24, 1 Oct 2006 (NZST)
- I've started expandable tables using existing TOC javascript, but will have to do another script specialised for it because the TOC code won't default to collapsed state, and also seems to handle multiple tables badly - coming along tho --Nad 22:28, 1 Oct 2006 (NZST)
- Done our own expandable tables script now in expandable.php, just having CSS problems now so I'll have a rest and do it some other time - CSS is doing that shit where it just won't listen to any changes to margin/width etc - fuckin' shit technology this html and css crap :-(
- It does seem to be working, despite the css and html crap. You'll be just begging to get back to the nodal programming now ;) --Rob 02:24, 2 Oct 2006 (NZST)

I really like the pollen. Perhaps we can extentd this theme into a design concept. The theme of micro vs macro is appropriate, considering the discussion on the geoscope and some of Fullers other ideas. --Rob 11:00, 1 Oct 2006 (NZST)
