Hitler kicked the Jews out of prominent financial positions and implemented a system very similar to Major Douglas' Social Credit based on a labour-backed currency called "Labour Treasury Certificates" which brought the country from devastating poverty to the most abundant country in Europe in only five years. This isn't a new system, there are many examples of this type of monetary system being implemented and leading to great abundance (this lecture by Pat Conaty called "Fast Money" lists quite a few examples including Social Credit and Hitler's version). For more detail, see Ellen Brown's book "Web of Debt" (excerpt), or the 1978 book "Which way western man?" by William Gayley Simpson.
