Low noise RF switching is needed to allow multiple audio and video inputs switched by software. I have a TV with one video input. I already have a DVD player, so the use of a media center in this situation will not be very friendly because of the need to switch inputs manually.
An RF switch with multiple audio and video inputs and a single audio/video output would allow the pc software to control which outputs are sent to the TV. In this way the remote control can be used to select from a number of existing video sources or the computer or TV.
