Pointing Domain to VPS
On your Linode go to DNS Manager Tab then add a Zone and enter the following requirements Domain - YOUR_DOMAIN_NAME Email address - YOUR_EMAIL
A/AAAA Records Add a new A/AAAA record and put in Domain name and the ip address of your VPS.
On Domain
On the domain website go to DNS settings and change the name server to this and put the following
ns1.linode.com
ns2.linode.com
ns3.linode.com
ns4.linode.com
ns5.linode.com
On your VPS
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install apache2
(check the VPS IP address in the address bar to see if apache web server has worked correctly)

sudo nano /etc/apache2/apache2.conf
find this
<Directory /var/www/html/>
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride None
Require all granted
</Directory>
Also nano into the below and update the line "DocumentRoot /var/www/WEBSITE/INDEX" to the same directory used above
/etc/apache2/sites-available/000-default.conf
Then save it and enter the following.
sudo service apache2 restart
