To construct a DC power supply that will power the main board and any other digital logic circuits that may be required.

Parts needed

  • Transformer - input 240VAC output 12VDC
  • Voltage regulator 7805
  • Mounting board - high current rails

  • Jug socket
  • Capacitor - low value microF - to reduce RF emissions from regulator
  • Bridge rectifier - four 1N4004 diodes
  • Capacitor - high value - 12V
