Power outage in Auckland today at 8:30am. All of the CBD, eastern and western auckland to new Lynn out of power. Bad weather caused a short circuit to a 110KW cable in a substation in Otahuhu. Power was restored at about 2:30pm in Remuera, the outage is still in effect at 7pm in neighbouring ellerslie though to panmure and Onehunga.

Power was only out for an hour or so here at the 'port since Devonportian's are more important. --Nad 17:07, 12 Jun 2006 (NZST)
