Organic Design procedure

It's important to make backup copy's of DVD's you've purchased so that you're not at risk from the original being damaged and becoming unreadable.

We use the DVD::Rip application, which after installed can be found in Applications/Sound & Video. First select a location to store the data. Then to start a copy operation, create a new project then select the tracks you need and rip them to hard drive as show in the image below.

Next you should transcode each track to a compressed format. We use the OGG format and the xvid4 codec. You should also select smart deinterlacing. Select the track, and set the options and click transcode as shown below.
