right now this does not function very well as a tag/taxonomy/folksonomy.

problems

• the in-line tag link is kind of redundant, since it appears at the bottom in the categories list anyway.
• I have not been able to solve the recursive category problem. that is, when used in a page fragment that is intended to be transcluded into another page, that including page assumes the same categories, which is not what I intended.
• Must click on the red link to category to create it. Must edit and save the new category page or it will be red again subsequent to saving.

• page B, category b include page A
  • yields page B text A, category ab

right now the only way to avoid this behaviour is to surround the tags with a <noinclude>

• page A, category a
• page B, category b include page A
  • yields page B text A, category b

there may be a subtle parsing order of precedence when surrounding a <noinclude> with <includeonly> from a template. I need to unwrap the right tags only on the second generation include.

• i made this so long ago, but now i'm boggled by the multiply-nested braces and template syntax. I know you could easily fix this so that pretty links would work. if you have time... could you? Thanks --Infomaniac 20:26, 5 November 2011 (PDT)

Wow, off to where in Brazil? I expect to be in São Paulo early next month.
