We have upgraded from PHP4.3 to PHP5.2 but there are quite a few problems to sort out which is why a lot of things aren't working. It should be fine to carry on with things while I'm doing it but there'll probably be intermittent glitches happening for a while. It's all for the best though, we can move up to the newer versions of MediaWiki now which require PHP5 :-)
Here's a list of the things which are still not working...
- SWF compiling & rendering - php5-ming installed but not showing in info.php
- Dynamic category lists - wrong $properties object seems to be in the scope
- Domain default-page redirects
- see also problems which have been fixed after the PHP upgrade
