This workshop is designed to give computer users basic computing skills for using popular free software applications and generally working on the internet and managing files. The content taught here applies to most operating systems, including Linux, Apple and Windows XP and Vista.

Basic commands

Windows program key combinations

  • CTRL+C: Copy
  • CTRL+X: Cut
  • CTRL+V: Paste
  • CTRL+Z: Undo
  • CTRL+B: Bold
  • CTRL+U: Underline
  • CTRL+I: Italic
