Icons

From Organic Design wiki

When developing applications or organisational templates in wiki's a common difficulty is finding nice consistent icons to suit the many diverse needs which can arise. Another problem, is that when nice icons are found and are not locked down with copyright, they are often in bit-mapped formats which cannot be scaled to arbitrary size and cannot easily be modified or combined. But these problems are in the past thanks to the Tango Desktop Project!

The Tango Desktop Project aims to provide a consistent user experience for applications on different free and open-source desktop environments. The key objective of the project is to allow developers to easily integrate their software (in terms of appearance) with the desktop. The visual inconsistencies that arise from different free desktop environments (KDE, GNOME, Xfce etc) and custom distributions make it hard for third parties to target Linux.
