Talk:ETVX

From Organic Design wiki

Okay Guys, you are either going to make my head explode or make me celebrate the fact that I can take all those rocks in my head and create a nice zen-like rock pile.

I won't go into great detail here but I thought this might be a place that should mention that I leverage(abuse) the Fibonnaci sequence for a lot thinking and visual modeling.

we've got some other phi/e stuff in e and talk:e too :-)

All this stuff is excellent content, existing patterns which are built up this ETVX way will be very easy to move across into the nodal model in a rules-based way.

How formalised is the interaction between the orthogonal "cardinal dimensions"?
it's not to good yet...i need some help there.
So do I! but I know its got a lot to do with the geometric structure of

+Euler

Benjamin Peirce (1809-1880, American mathematician, professor at Harvard)
gave a lecture proving "Euler's identity", and concluded:

"Gentlemen, that is surely true,
it is absolutely paradoxical;
we cannot understand it,
and we don't know what it means.
But we have proved it,
and therefore we know it must be the truth."
i also like you tiein to OODA. There are many similar models in business, I have found over and over again the "3" linking into a 4th "transdimensional" union...--Phalseid 22:24, 27 Sep 2006 (NZST)

this is one of many ways to do it, it is the method i have selected to use/describe organization--Phalseid 15:22, 13 Jun 2006 (NZST) Disclaimer: This is a work in progress! Comments are welcome on the discssion page. --Phalseid 15:48, 10 May 2006 (CDT)

Organization: KEY 1

The key principal behind this organization method/system is kaizen, or, constant improvement. Nothing is static in nature, and that principal is reflected in the design of this system. You could argue that a dead animal is static, but even within that carcass a process of decomposition and new life is taking place.

Evolution shows us that things constantly improve. Entropy is the opposite of evolution, and is the breakdown of the natural inclination of the universe to move towards perfect history.

Things that are measured improve. Things that are neglected decline. Easy is Hard. The easier the user interface, the more complex the underlying structure is. With this organization system, there is definite structure, but the structure is unbounded. The laws of physics structure nature, but to not limit its expression within the rules that define it. Similarly, simply following the 4 baisc steps of ETVX apply to multiple vertical market implementations. Reference a new kind of science here, that the entire universe may be able to be described with a simple equation. The universe itself is cyclical, the universe we are in being the result of a big bang, the child of another universe.

Binary System: KEY 2

The binary key to this system is the Create Procedure procedure and the Edit procedure procedure. Other seeming but interdependant contradictions:

  • 0, 1
  • Day, Night
  • Yin, Yang
  • Male, Female

It seems that things that are true are self contradictory.

The system is structured to be modular objectoriented by using interchangeable parts. This method is called transclusion, where one wiki article can stand alone or is embeded in other articles. Key concepts are History Who What When Why Where To What Extent,

Quaternary Contemplation: KEY 4

2^2=4

2 dimensional things that represent 4 dimensions are ubiqitous.

  • compass: measures latitude, but not longitude.
  • clock: measures time, but not distance
  • x/y system for displaying workflow vs. a pivot table
  • heisenberg uncertainty principal (known location vs. known velocity)
  • a map

Our minds must be trained to think "this way"...the reward is that thoughts about organization can be better grasped in 4 dimensions:

  • characteristics: uncertainty, chaos, but conversely, regular, repetative
  • From a 2 dimensional plain it is difficult to represent the third dimension.
  • Projections of word map gives false impression that east/west end.
  • Being on a curved surface gives false impression that you are on a flat surface.
