I don't see how {{EDITURL}} would be useful - if it's blank, you'll still have a visible link which just goes to no url - why not just always have a link and just have the usual perms error. --Nad 19:16, 5 Feb 2007 (NZST)
- Yes that would be bad. But what if you want to have a custom link to edit? Say 'hack this' insted of 'edit'. I have also had some thoughts about editing. If all MW edit controls are enclosed in a certain class it should be possible to hide/show all elements on a page. In this way you have a special link that causes all the editing controls to appear. Then when you're finished editing, it can hide them all again, showing the page as it realy is. --Rob 21:16, 5 Feb 2007 (NZST)
