Re: "Manage your energy, not your time"

energy and time are just two aspects of the same coin, energy-management is time-management. In essence, energy is looking at the context from the spectral/wave side and time from the linear. So although "energy mangement" is fine, the "not time" part of the statement is not fine. --Nad 11:02, 26 Jul 2006 (NZST)
good point aran. pretty deep thought though, not sure i get it yet. Did covey do "Time Mangement" or "Energy Management?" Value-centered living is pretty much the same thing here, eh? --Phalseid 17:10, 25 Jul 2006 (NZST)
I guess the point she is making is that there is a distinction between classic time management which can be very uptight and the more "in the flow" managing of energy. Also, she is not talking about energy in the physics-sense, but on a personal level, as in: "I have no energy left over to enter into a debate", or "I am feeling very full of energy today". So the idea is to behave appropriately according to one's energy state, rather than being fixated upon rigid schedules. In this context the statement "is fine", no?
Energy's energy, there's no difference between "physics energy" and personal energy, physics is just my way of talking about the situation. Linear time management is necessary to manage your personal energy properly. You can't just "be in the flow" and not use the concept of linear scheduling, otherwise you risk becoming an unreliable raving hippy!
Sorry, but i can't resist:

First we state that women require time and money:

Women = Time X Money

Time = Money

Therefore by substituting Money for Time we get:

Women = Money X Money

Women = (Money)2

Money = (Evil)1/2
And Since
(Money)2  = Women
Then    (Money)2  = Evil

And we are forced to conclude by substituting "women" for "(money)2" from above that:

Women = Evil

Thanks for the formula, maybe we should get Sven to do some Latex on it, heh. As for how do women fit into my goals? They don't need to be talked about since I take them for granted :-)

I will try to save you bro...so what you are saying is that Like the Air that you Breathe and the Water that You drink, Women are a gift that you are grateful for. Ah yes....
Yes I think that sounds a bit more harmonious ;-)
