I read Blockchain Revolution by Don and Alex Tapscott in 2016, and that's when the crypto lightbulb went on, but the biggest influence was the 4hr work week in 2013, which was the inspiration to become a digital nomad.

I have been a resident of Japan, South Korea, Germany, and Thailand for at least one year in each, but travelled to many more. My two biggest frustrations during this time have been the banking systems and difficulties proving my identity as I no longer have a permanent residence. I can relate to the under-banked and refugees in terms of getting ripped off by banks and having no way to prove who I am without a power bill in my name.

These are pain points I would like to see resolved for myself and others and I see cryptocurrencies and blockchain tech as solutions. Being free from the instruments of statecraft requires living on non-fiat currencies, setting up offshore legally in a geopolitical system I believe in contributing voluntarily to, and having healthy interactions with society.

I wish that everyone could extract themselves from wage-slavery, taxation and debt. Right now this process is boring, technical, and time-consuming.

Using my experience in educational delivery methods, art and film, I would like to build an interactive simulation game immersing the player in the flow of the process, with the winner having learned about crypto currencies, cyber security, and the future of a healthy decentralised world. So I am building my knowledge base and see Organic Design as a trustworthy foundation for learning. I do not have a technical background but the more I know, the more I want to learn and the more confident I feel. The systems are becoming increasingly complex but at the same time anti-fragile and expansive.

As we are all collectively making it up as we go, nothing is clear, but when I’m having passionate conversations and reading up about where we all this technology is taking us, I feel the excited about the potential of the brighter future.
