This page describes a concept which is part of our glossary

The word "Wikia" is the name of a business set up by Wikipedia's Jimmy Wales to host thousands of free MediaWiki's supported by advertising. Here at Organic Design we use the word more generically to mean "wiki farm". Our set up is described in more detail in the OD/Wikia article and is implemented mainly through the wikia.php script.
