Procedure.svg Install and Configure OpenAtrium
Organic Design procedure

OpenAtrium is an "intranet in a box that has group spaces to allow different teams to have their own conversations. It comes with six features - a blog, a wiki, a calendar, a to do list, a shoutbox, and a dashboard to manage it all."

OpenAtrium is actually an installation profile of Drupal and it install a fully functional Drupal 6, which can be treated as a normal Drupal, especially regarding permissions.

Set Up

Download the relevant openAtrium distro. A server set up as an OD server will have all of openAtrium's requirements available out of the box.

Follow the excellent and detailed quickstart.

The quickstart assumes the installer is a developer or sysadmin: i.e. you will set up a MySql database on a LAMP server, and perform the normal Drupal file system steps.
