I started learning bagua around the mid 90's, and joined the project in 2001 when I realised my IT skills could greatly help with the decentralised self-organising network aspect. At the time I didn't realise how difficult it would be to implement, because the project imposes strict criteria to ensure implementations are in accord with the spiritual principles. The main difficulties are self containment, all aspects changeable and think global, act local.

After about five years and many failed versions later, the nodal reduction algorithm was completed which is a geomtrically-based process description and execution method based on the bagua and forms a foundation for all higher functionality such as the network and interface layers.

Since early 2005 the main focus has been on modelling the network architecture as a nodally reducable structure. Again the difficulties have invloved meeting the projects criteria which in this case are scale independence, and that both spectrum and consumable resource be subclassed from the same core methodology. I've recently worked out a way to model this nodally which fits these criteria and I'm in the process of implementing it in peerd.c.
