Configure WireGuard VPN

Apparently Wireguard is much slimmer and faster than OpenVPN, and is supposedly very straight forward to set up, I have average Linux admin skills and have not managed to get it working though. I could connect with IPv4 and IPv6 to the server, but not beyond, I think that complicated routing rules must be required for this.
