Info.svg This page is a month of the year and is used to record useful information about each month relating to living on the land such as what plants are in season, what things we should be doing and what to expect from the weather and river etc.

The insects are wild, there's hundreds of dragonflies in the air. Mud Dauber wasps are nesting on the sides of the house, and Carpenter bees are also around finding places to nest. The vegetables are at risk from the crickets and ants.

The weather's very hot, over 30 most days, and even approaching 40 on some days. Many nights are mid twenty's, occasionally dropping down to 15 or so.

There's some very dry stretches where we need to collect 100L or so of water each day for the plants.

There are many of the Gralhas (Azure Jays) in the trees around the garden, it sounds like it might be their mating time.

Many Matukas.
